Following on from the terrible humanitarian crisis in Haiti, the music industry is coming together to do their bit and raise money for the cause.

Esmée's home nation, The Netherlands, are no exception, as Esmée took to the stage this week for the 'Netherlands For Haiti' concert.

Update From the UK!

Yeaaaaah! My Debut album, "Outta Here" is finally out in the UK. I just got back from London after doing promo. I went to BBC Radio 1 to do an interview with Nick from the radio show along with Switch and Tulisa from N-Dubz. It was really good to see them again!

It was so cool because I tweeted where I was and a few fans were waiting for me outside the studio! I love seeing my fans in person, so I'm planning to do this more.

While I was in the UK, I also recorded a brand new song with the rapper, Chipmunk. We actually met through Twitter - it's amazing. I was just reading my usual replies and someone tweeted that he loved my voice so I replied saying that I loved his music. Chipmunk and I met in person at one of my shows and we decided to make a song together. I absolutely love the song - Can't wait for you guys to hear it. : )

Another funny thing happened in England: I bumped into Justin Bieber at the hotel. He was staying a couple doors down from my room. Do you guys remember the old YouTube video were he was singing Chris Brown's song, "With You" to me?

So cool to see another YouTube artist doing so well. Watch what happened in the next video!

I also wanted to let you guys know that I will be recording the video for my next single soon and this time Justin is going to do the video with me! Can you guess what the next single will be?

Hey it's Esmée.

Nooooo it's already the last day of the N-Dubz tour!! I’m going back home tomorrow. I am really gonna miss being on tour. I had a great time here in the UK, and I can't wait for my second single, “Admit it” to be out.

I should really just get an apartment over here!! London is one of my favorite cities in the world. You guys definitely have the best shopping, hands down. And I have a weird obsession with M&S food. It's so good LOL.

I just filmed this promo video with the guys from N-Dubz for my single, “Admit It” and now I am getting ready for the last show in Hatfield. I will be back in the UK in January to promote my album, “Outta Here”. Are you guys ready? Now I am gonna go back home to celebrate Christmas with my family and friends :) but I will see you soon!

Hey, it's Esmee here!

Just played in Salisbury opening up for N-Dubz. It took us 8 hours to get here. We were stuck in traffic for a while we literally stood still for 3 hours. Get me Outta Here! LOL! We missed soundcheck, but the show was amazing, had such a great time! The crowd was chanting my name before I got on stage. And they were all singing, "Outta Here" with me.

:) Only one more day to go on this tour, I can't believe how fast it's going. Time flies when your having fun! I just picked up the new issue of Sugar magazine. I did a photoshoot with the magazine a while a go.

So I was really anxious to see what photos they chose. The vibe of the shoot was really cool and seeing all the pictures in the magazine was great. I made a photo of it with my phone.

This is my favorite! Check out the magazine to see more pictures. ;) I'm going to grab some food now, I haven't eaten much today. I think my choices are, Pizza Hut or KFC? Tour food! Actually chicken sounds really good right now anyways!

I am on the tourbus with the band right now. We are still in the UK on our way to Seawick in Essex to open for N-Dubz. We only have two more shows to go. I really have enjoyed touring with N-Dubz they are such a cool group. My new single "Admit It" is coming out here in the UK on the 28th of December : )

So I have done a bunch of interviews and made a visit to Radio One. I also was able perform on the Alan Titchmarsh Show. That was amazing!

I was definitely a little bit nervous for that one since it was my first UK TV performance. I felt like it went well but I have not seen it back. Have any of you seen it? I ran into Will.i.am backstage we talked for a little bit he is so cool. I love the new song with Cheryl Cole.

Yesterday I did a live chat for Myspace and that was a lot of fun. I brought along Mike and Aron from the band to play a couple of songs. It was so much fun because we were wearing PJ's and the guys were wearing christmas hats. If you missed it you can see it back here

Of course I can't forget to wish all of you guys a very merry christmas and a happy new year!! What do you guys want for christmas this year? Let me know.

New blog from Esmee - 'Yay back in the UK!!'

After 2 months of touring with Honor Society in the US, I got to go back home to Holland for a couple of days. I got to see my family and my friends, which was really nice. Now I am writing you guys from beautiful London. It’s so great to be back here, especially because the UK support has been so good. “Outta Here” was number 7 in the official charts here :) I haven't been back since that happened. Now I am here to promote my second single, “Admit It”. Have you guys heard it yet? Let me know what you think!

I did a couple of fun TV things yesterday for MTV and the Chart Show, and the day before I got to perform at this amazing event called Jingle Bell Ball for Capital Radio in the 02 Arena. The line up was just incredible. Thank you Capital for letting me be a part of it!! Besides performing, I was mostly exited to see Janet Jackson perform as the main act. She was just amazing. Seeing her perform really took me back to the days when I was about 13 years old trying to do all of her dance moves. She has always been a really big inspiration to me. She was the first powerful female performer that touched me.

Other performers that were at the show were Ne-yo, Shakira and the Backstreet Boys. Can you believe AJ from the Backstreet Boys came up to me before the show to tell me he was a fan of my music?? So cool!

It really was a night to remember! Now I am ready to go on tour with N-Dubz. I love them! Can't wait to meet them. Today is the first date of the tour. Anybody wanna come see me? Here are the Tour Dates!! Would love to see you there!!! Almost ready to soundcheck. I will keep you guys updated!

Esmée took her place amongst some of the industry's biggest stars over the weekend when she played London's massive O2 arena for the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball!

Esmée had a great time performing to 16,000 people, surrounded by some of the biggest names in music.

Esmée has won big at the European Border Breakers Awards, taking home the award for the Netherlands!

Esmée got the award because 'Outta Here' is the song by a Netherlands artist which has sold the most outside the country - congrats Esmée!

EsmÃ©e On The Road in Seattle, Las Vegas and Los Angeles

Hey Everybody... It's me, Esmée!

I just got back from doing an interview on an early morning radio show here in Seattle and I thought I would write to you guys real quick. This week started off with a show in beautiful San Diego. The next morning we went to visit Radio Star 94.1 for a live interview. Radio DJ AJ stayed up on this crane for an entire week to help raise toys for sick children, so of course I had to come out for this great cause. Thumbs up to AJ! ;)

After the radio visit, we went straight to Las Vegas. I was really excited to be there again. When we drove into Vegas on the strip, I saw my face on a huge billboard! It was crazy. I couldn't believe it! I tried to take a picture of it, but I was just a second too late. I wish I could have shown it to you guys, it was so cool. Then, all of a sudden I heard "Outta Here" playing on the car radio. Radio NOW 104.3 in Vegas has been spinning it like crazy. Thanks so much to them! It's so exciting. This couldn't have been a better welcome.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel where we rented out a huge suite to do an acoustic performance for a bunch of prize winners. Later on that night, I performed at Club Bank at the Bellagio. Before I left, I had to try one of the slot machines. I've always wanted to try it once and since I just turned 21, it was the perfect chance. Don't worry, I only spent $5 to see what it was like. I lost it all, of course.

The next day, we were off to LA for the tour with Honor Society. My friends Alison and Brit came out to see me, which was great! I miss them since they're not out on tour with me this time. During this show, I got to sing a duet with Michael, the lead singer from Honor Society. The guys are so nice. Here is a little clip of the performance.

Alison and I hung out together the next day, and we found Stroopwafels (amazing Dutch caramel cookies) at Trader Joe's. I know it's silly, but after being on the road for over a month, I was really excited and happy to find these. It reminds me of home.

Another exciting thing happened this week. They put my single "Outta Here" in one of the "Melrose Place" episodes!! Isn't that crazy? I love that show. Now I am going to check out how the shopping here in Seattle is, and maybe I will find a dress for the EMA MTV awards. I can't wait to go! You guys can still vote for me here!

EsmÃ©e On The Road in Arizona

Hey guys! It's Esmée here.

Another city, another day. I just woke up in beautiful Arizona. We got here yesterday after a 25 hour drive. We drove from Houston to Dallas to visit a radio station, and then it was off to Arizona! We sat in the RV for hours, I got so restless. I tried to sleep in every little corner, and at one point even on the floor. So glamorous ;) I woke up with the sun in my face and saw palm trees alongside the road. We drove up to the hotel and I saw a big swimming pool where I spent the rest of the day relaxing.

I am reading this really fun book right now by Lauren Weisberger called, "Everyone Worth Knowing." I love reading, it's so relaxing.

Yesterday I got some really exciting news! I won an MTV EMA Award for Best Dutch Belgium Artist!! That means that I have a shot at winning the EMA for Best European Artist, which is huge! Hey, what's up everybody?

It's Esmée here! I'm on the road again. This time I'm writing to you guys from Tulsa, Okla. We just arrived here after a 13-hour drive from Louisville, Kentucky. I'm getting to visit all of these places I never thought I would see!

We're playing some cool venues and visiting radio stations everywhere we go. So far everything has been really great. Twenty radio stations in the US are already playing "Outta Here" which is so exciting! If you guys like "Outta Here" please request it at your local radio stations! With the help of all of you guys, hopefully we can get the song in the US Top 10 as well! Let's do it! ;)

I just did my first school visit at Dominion Middle School in Columbus, Ohio. It was really great. I performed three songs for them and told them all about my story. It was really amazing meeting so many excited young kids who are so passionate about music. After performing, I signed some autographs...

The Honor Society shows have been going really great as well. We added a new song to my set, a cover of "Closer" by Ne-Yo. It's one of my favorite songs. We thought it would be cool to add a cover, since that's how I started out on YouTube.

From now on, I will be taking pictures of every audience from the stage and posting them on my twitter account. These photos are from Louisville and Columbus!

W: Which are your favourite songs on the album, and why?

E: All of them are special to me; I wrote on almost all of them. I absolutely love “Love Dealer” and “Admit It”. They are such funky and fun songs. I love performing them on stage and getting into character. One of my other favorites is “Just Can’t Have It” because it’s an amazing ballad that I think a lot of people can relate to, including me.

EsmÃ©e Live at The Grove in L.A.

On September 10th, Esmée headlined a performance during The Grove's Summer Send-Off Concert Series in Los Angeles.

With scenery like New York's Central Park, Esmée performed outdoors with her 3-piece band for over a hundred people. Esmée performed a five song set for the audience including her first single "Outta Here". Throughout her set Esmée showed off her amazing stage presence as well as her signature vocals to make the crowd fall in love with her music. Esmée's music has a very R&B-influenced Pop sound that creates music that everyone can relate to, if not dance to, like on the track "Love Dealer". She also performed a mid-tempo song in the middle of her set called "Just Can't Have It", that really showed off her impressive vocals.

After her 30-minute set, Esmée came out into the crowd to meet her fans. Several people mentioned to Esmée that they follow her on Twitter & are huge fans of her YouTube postings. One teenage girl even had her friend taping her talk to Esmée so she could put it on YouTube. Esmée spent about an hour meeting & greeting the 100+ fans. She took pictures and signed autographs for every single person.

Esmée won the Hitkrant "Hottest Star 2009" Award! It's an award from one of the biggest celebirty magazines in the Netherlands where the readers can vote for... the hottest star! Congratulations Esmée!

Radio 538 Concert

While Esmée was in the Netherlands she performed at a private concert hosted by the Dutch radio station Radio 538. She sang "Admit It" (her second single), "Love Dealer", "Just Can't Have It" & "Outta Here". This was a special show for Esmée because it was her first time headlining in the Netherlands.

As the official fan editor of esmeeworld.com, as well as the creator of esmeefans.org, the biggest Esmée fansite online, I had the amazing opportunity to meet Esmee before the concert. Esmee Announces Second UK Single!

UK fans had their first taste of Esmee's brilliance when her debut single 'Outta Here' shot into the UK charts Top 10 last month.

Now fans can look forward to her second offering as we can now reveal her next single, Admit It, will be released in the UK on 28th December!

The track will hit radio on 16th November but you can watch the Admit It official video HERE!

From London to New York

What’s up! I am in my room in NYC at the moment. And I was about to do a kyte session, but unfortunately it went wrong. Server was busy or something like that. So I thought I would write down what I wanted to tell you guys.

This past week has been amazing! The dancers, band and I got to perform in the O2 arena in London opening for Ne-Yo. It was such a wonderful experience! It was our last show on this tour and it couldn’t have been a better ending. We went on stage… the crowd was amazing, we had such a good time! Here is a quick video before we went on stage:

After I performed, I did a couple of interviews for the UK press and then I got to watch the Ne-Yo show. The show was on the same day that Michael Jackson was supposed to perform at the O2 arena, so Ne-Yo had prepared a beautiful tribute especially for that.

It was amazing how the mood just changed in the venue. Everybody seemed so touched, we were all singing along to our favorite Michael Jackson songs: “Thriller”, “Bad” and “Man In The Mirror.” Even Keri Hilson came out and the two of them sang the duet, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.” I really can’t believe he is gone. Michael Jackson is the ultimite pop artist and his legacy and music will live on forever. I would like to thank Ne-Yo so much for letting me be a part of his tour. I really will never forget all of the amazing moments that I had on this tour. I really can’t believe that I have been given this opportunity by all of you guys and I will be forever thankful!

Now I am in New York to start promoting my single “Outta Here” on the radio all over the US. It’s gonna be quite a road trip ;) Can’t wait to visit all of the different cities and hopefully meet some of you guys there! I love how all of you guys keep updating me on my twitter @esmeeworld when you hear my song on the radio or see the video on TV.

Tour Diary #3: Isle of MTV

I am writing you this from the 02 Arena in London. I just got in this morning by train from Brussels. I just had a few incredible days…! First, I flew from Dublin, Ireland to the beautiful and sunny Malta to perform at the “Isle of MTV”.

Let me tell you… Malta was so amazing, MTV treated us so well and there were more than 50,000 people at the performance! I will never forget it!!

I was the first act to perform on the amazing line up which included Metro Station, Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas. I got to meet the Black Eyed Peas and I even took a picture with the beautiful and sweet Fergie.

After my performace I got to check out their live show, it has so much energy in it! They even had fireworks as their finale!

After Malta, I went to Paris and Brussels to continue on the Ne-Yo tour. I met Keri Hilson, who is on the same label as me and also on the same tour. She is so nice!

I am about to wrap up this blog cause I have to go sound check in a minute. Talk to you soon!

I’m in the train from Cork to Dublin. The hotel I stayed in was very nice. Also the people here in Ireland are so nice and open. They love music. I was told by a local in Cork that when people gather, people just start singing. It does not matter if you can sing or not, it’s just about connecting and having a good time. I love it out here :-)

TOUR DIARY #1: TMF AWARDS SHOW AND NE-YO TOUR KICK OFF

OMG… what a week! Don’t know where to start, but this entire week was just surreal. To begin with, I attended my first awards show in Holland, the TMF Awards (TMF is kind of like our local MTV). I was really excited about this because it’s a show I grew up watching. It was also amazing to know that the Black Eyed Peas and N.E.R.D. had just performed on the same stage.

The day started with me opening the event with the biggest and baddest DJ in the world, Armin Van Buuren. This was so cool, thank you Armin for thinking of me to do that.

After that opening performance, I started to get ready for my own set, and all of a sudden, TMF wanted me to come to the stage. I had no idea what was going on. So while standing backstage, my name got called and I was shocked that I actually won an award – the TMF Superchart award. That’s the chart award of TMF.

So what a night so far right? After that, I did a couple of interviews… and again, I got called to come on stage… This could not be true! I was nominated for the Best Female Artist award. I had some fierce competition, some big, big artists were nominated, so I could not believe when they actually called my name again…. So crazy!!! I won the best female artist award… speechless.

This week the Ne-Yo tour is also starting. I just did my first show in Amsterdam and right now I am in Cork, Ireland, writing this blog from my dressing room. Ne-Yo’s show is amazing! I am so glad that I get the chance to be on another amazing tour.

TOURING WITH NE-YO IN EUROPE THIS JULY!

Hi Everybody,

At the moment, I am in Los Angeles in my hotel room….and I just got a call with some pretty cool news! I will be touring with Ne-Yo through the UK from July 5th-19th! How amazing is that? I already met Ne-Yo once before and he was so nice to me. Now i can’t wait to go on this tour and rock these places!

I am in Los Angeles now because i am rehearsing for this tour. The configuration on stage will be a little different than the setup during the Enrique Iglesia s tour… but what exactly it is, i will keep a surprise!

I was really shocked when I first found out that YouTube suspended my account. Literally my heart skipped a beat! I want you to know that I am doing everything I can to get my account back on YouTube. This might mean that I have to delete some of my favorite cover songs…so sad! As I am very saddened by this, I am very hopeful that YouTube will get my account back up soon.

Hey everybody

I am writing this on Christmas eve. After Me and my mom tried out the chocolate fondue set she got from her work. Ofcourse it was a total disaster but in the end we managed to get some decent chocolate sauce without burning the house down LOL. I do feel sick a little bit hahah. Never ate so much chocolate at once. But i guess that’s okey since its Christmas. I am so happy to be back home to celebrate with my family.

But Ofcourse I am writing you this blog because I wanna wish YOU all a merry christmas and a happy new year!!!
This year has been great and I couldn’t have done all of this without your support!
I just know next year is gonna be even better! Can’t wait for all of you to hear what I have been working on.
I hope you all have a great time!

Ps : do any of you have a new years resolution ? i wanna work on a lot of things but here’s a few
- What I wanna do is work on my stamina cause hopefully I am gonna be performing a lot! and i can’t be out of breath!! so treadmill here I come!
- And I am going to play the piano a lot more (need to keep on practicing)
- And Write a lot more blogs for you guys to read !!!!

Today we announced YouTube Live, a celebration of the vibrant communities that exist on the site, to be held on November 22 in San Francisco and streamed for a potential worldwide audience of millions.

YouTube users have been gathering informally for years, but this is the first time that YouTube is officially leaping off screens for an event unlike any other. With live performances, celebrity guests, original videos, surprise collaborations and much more, the event will mix elements of a concert, variety show and party, with YouTube phenomena always at the core.
